Located in the heart of Mid Glamorgan in South Wales, only a few miles from Cardiff and on the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, Caerphilly combines more than 2000 years of history with natural beauty. The town's most famous landmark, Caerphilly Castle, is one of Europe's great mediaeval castles and second only to Windsor in size and grandeur in the whole of the UK.
The town is world-famous for its cheese and every summer Caerphilly celebrates with The Big Cheese – an incredible festival of contemporary and traditional music, dance and entertainment which attracts close to 100,000 visitors.
